545-SNOW       Hawaii Ski Association - June 2004

President's Message
Aloha everyone!
Your Board of Directors has selected a resort for Ski Trip 2005 at Big Sky...The Big Horn Condos. The contract is signed and the ball is rolling so firm up your plans to be a part of it. Also, we selected South Lake Tahoe as the area for the Spring Break trip. Will publish more details as they become available.
We had a great turnout and time at the May Pau Hana at Brew Moon. More than two dozen skiers/boarders enjoyed sunset on the veranda and the associated food and drink.
The search for the General Meeting place ended at the Fort Street Bar & Grill. It is one of Goef Chu's haunts and will hopefully turn out to be a reasonable, central location for our meetings. Hope to see many of you there on June 3rd!

Please join Ski Association volunteers for delicious food and drink, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, and fun at the 13th annual Taste of Honolulu on Sunday, June 27.

If you wish to volunteer for this year's Taste of Honolulu, please contact Anita Hodges for an application ASAP. Ski club members have volunteered to raise money for Easter seals for the past 7 years. Volunteers receive a Taste of Honolulu t-shirt, admission ticket and $10.00 in script. We have signed up to work the Sunday, June 27th morning shift from 10:30 until about 3:00.

After our shift, volunteers informally gather to eat, socialize, and enjoy the live entertainment. Other Ski Club members are invited to join the volunteers to relax and enjoy the festivities. This informal group will meet near the big black sculpture in the middle of the Honolulu Hale grounds at about 3 to 3:30PM and then proceed to the music stage area.

Bring a cell phone if you want to locate other ski club members in the crowd. Friends and family are invited to join us. Come to party and support the Taste of Honolulu and Easter Seals Hawaii. Call Anita Hodges.
