545-SNOW       Hawaii Ski Association - September 2004

Aloha from New Zealand!
A small contingent of SAOH members is enjoying the skiing at Queenstown this week. Paul will write the rest of my message.
General Meeting August 5th - Our last $300-minimum meeting at Fort Street Bar & Grill had only 12 in attendance. Fortunately, there was a sufficient number of hollow legs and commodious stomachs for us to comsume enough food and drink to meet the minimum. The business meeting was rather short with an update on Ski Trip 2005 as well as upcoming planned and hoped-for events. We waddled home looking forward to the next meeting without a minimum.
The Perseid Meteor Shower was more like a faucet drip, but we filled all beds and had a nice time relaxing on the beach both Saturday night and Sunday morning. Many thanks to Wandi for arranging and coordinating and to Wanda Sowell and family for the food service supplements.
Board Meeting/Pau Hana August 20th - We had a good board meeting on Friday August 20th with most members in attendance. Afterward we adjourned to Nick's Fish Market for an enjoyable Pau Hana where there were some 2 dozen of us present.
Moonlight Picnic August 28th - We missed this one...someone else will have to update you at the next General Meeting. Will also miss the September 2nd General Meeting, but we're looking forward to seeing you all at the September 10th Pau Hana at Indigo.
Until then....Fergie

Classifieds
SKI HAWAII PATCHES
The new Ski Hawaii patches have arrived! These versatile patches can be applied with heat to ski caps, parkas, backpacks, duffle bags, just about anything you can think of! They will be on sale for $3 each at the September meeting.
CLUB SHIRT ORDER
We are putting together another shirt order that requires a minimum order of 12 shirts. Montana’s Big Sky Resort may be a tad chilly in January, especially during those Arctic blasts that sweep down from the north. Now will be the perfect time to order a toasty warm sweatshirt or long sleeve shirt ($16 each) for the ski trip. You may place your order with Wandi at the September meeting or if you already know what you want, you may e-mail your order.
